AT Feed Hopper range

The equipment in the AT range is used in feeding operations, in particular for measured feeding of subsequent machinery such as screening machines, sorting booths, shredders, etc. in sorting and treatment plants. The feed volume is adjustable to buffer the material flow between feeding and further processing.

The Doppstadt AT 300 feed hopper serves as a feeding machine, in particular for measured feeding of subsequent equipment such as screening machines, sorting booths, and shredders in sorting and preparation facilities. The large feed volume of approximately 3.5 m3 is suitable for buffering the material flow between feeding and further processing.

The infinitely adjustable hopper belt allows for measured discharging of the material. Deflectors and a steel-reinforced rubber belt ensure long service life and operational safety, even with heavy materials such as construction waste. The asymmetrical hopper shape ensures constant downward sliding of the material so that the material can be discharged continually by the longitudinal belt. Compared with oscillating conveyors, the AT 300 has clear advantages with materials of highly variable densities and mechanical characteristics due to the forced feeding by the profile belt. This means that the material is still reliably transported even when moisture causes the material to stick or light materials such as films, paperboard, etc. to lie under the heavy materials. In the past, this machine has proved itself with rubbish, mixed construction waste, wood and commercial waste.

The longitudinal belt is driven electro-hydraulically. The drive torque is transferred approximately evenly to the front and rear belt drums by a chain drive. The specially designed belt drums achieve significantly higher transferable friction torque than typical belt drives with rubber lining. The electric motor and hydraulic unit are located in a protected position within the housing of the feed hopper. They are easily accessible through the side doors.

A separate switch box with main switch, control elements and device sockets makes it easy to integrate the machine into an existing facility or operate it independently. External outfitting with frequency converters is not necessary.
